About Us

Welcome to Best Spain Beaches

Hi! I’m Esther, a young Spanish woman who grew up surrounded by the most stunning coastline in the world — and I created this blog because I want the rest of the world to see it too.

I have spent years exploring the beaches of Spain, from the wild, windswept shores of Galicia to the crystal-clear waters of the Balearic Islands, from the dramatic cliffs of the Basque Country to the endless golden sands of Andalusia. Every trip has left me with the same feeling: this country’s coastline is something truly special, and not nearly enough people know about it.

Why This Blog?

Spain is famous for its food, its history, and its culture — but its beaches deserve just as much attention. There are over 8,000 kilometers of coastline in Spain, hiding everything from busy, vibrant beach towns to secret coves that feel like they belong to you alone. I started Spain’s Best Beaches because I wanted to create the guide I always wished existed: honest, personal, and written by someone who actually knows these places.

Every beach featured on this blog is one I have visited myself. I write about what the water is really like, how to get there, the best time of year to go, and the little details that only a local would think to mention. No generic travel writing — just real experiences from someone who loves this country deeply.

Who Is This Blog For?

This blog is written especially for English-speaking travelers, particularly those based in the United States, who are curious about Spain’s coastline and want to explore beyond the typical tourist destinations. Whether you are planning your first trip to Spain or your tenth, my goal is to help you discover beaches that will stay with you long after you go home.

A Personal Note

There is something about the Spanish coast that is hard to put into words. It is the smell of the sea mixed with salt and pine. It is the light at six in the evening when everything turns gold. It is stumbling upon a tiny fishing village where the only sound is the waves. I have tried to capture some of that feeling in every post I write, and I hope it inspires you to come and experience it for yourself.

Thank you for being here. I hope this blog becomes your favorite resource for planning an unforgettable trip to the beaches of Spain.

Con mucho cariño,
Esther
